So we watched the new one... LOVED IT. Blu-ray on pre order
Same basic premise as the Arnie film but then goes its own way with it which totally works. Action is cool, look of it is really nice... smacks a bit of Blade Runner but nothing wrong with that. Farrel is a believable action hero and Kate Beckinsale plays a combo of Sharon Stone AND Michael Ironside's characters.
As with all action sci-fi films theres a few moments that dont work if you think about them too hard, but fuck it. Its a fun ride.
Few fun nods to the original film too, especially going through customs.
Bottom line... FUCK the "waaah, why did they remake an 80s classic" bastards, give it a shot. Really enjoyable bit of sci fi action
