This bad boy in hardback Been waiting AGES for this to get collected. Had even tracked down all bar one of the issues and was considering getting them bound up. Apparently there are two pages missing from some versions, hoping that doesnt apply to the UK one. Half way through and nothing missing yet. Beautiful artwork and really fun storytelling too

Had a few trades in lately, or coming up soon. Caught up with the first three 'Li'l Depressed Boy' trades from Image and while they only take about 30 minutes to read each, even though they collect 4 issues its all beautifully observed stuff.
I recognise the character so much but its from my life a few years ago making reading it an almost nostalgic experience event though they are published today. Good to know that 'Indie' culture and the self pitying, confidence free people who live there haven't changed since my day... although he does get more attractive girls than I remember getting... and the musics not as good these days...
Really looking forward to the next Daredevil trade coming through which will hopefully be home when I get back from work today as well and with a new Charley's War just around the corner and a few others there's rich pickin's these days.

I love Alan Davis, a true legend. Even his very old stuff is still very readable.
Might have to pick this one up as well. Although I do wish DC would finally collect Alan Grant and Norm Breyfogle's run on Batman as well. Seems that most really liked that run, but it's never been collected for some reason. I think it's still my most favourite run on the character in general, been a huge Alan Grant fan ever since.

Their run is what got me back into comics as a teenager. Saw a Breyfogle cover on a spinner rack in the newsagents and decided to give it a shot.
Re-read the entire run again about a year ago, still holds up really well

One of the great runs, let a lone of Batman just generally. That its not collected and that Norm Breyfogle still seems unable to find regular high profile work is a mystery to me.
Maybe he tortures kitty cats or something?

Yeah I know what you mean, he's a great talent but goes by unnoticed most of the time. I know he's now drawing a Batman Beyond title, but that isn't exactly the limelight either.
I've always loved the idea of Spawn, but just never managed to really get into the series.

I get what you mean bout spawn its not always the easiest. I got properly turned onto it when i bought the armaggeddon trade in the states and it is just stunning. Since then i can kinda forgive all the stop start nature of it at times.
