Well since I discovered this interview www.comicsbulletin.com/interviews/5032/matt-smith-strips-2000ad-to-the-bones/via an e-mail update from ECBT 2000ad its only fair that I discuss it here. Is it me or does Matt Smith give an interview very much in keeping with 2000ad. No waffle, tight, short and to the point. As he says "strip it to the bones and keep it moving." Mind Tharg better be careful. Matt Smith has been putting himself out and about a lot lately. Unless the Mighty One raises his profile people might actually start to think that his underling is running the show!

As PJ Holden just pointed out on Twitter.... it's kinda crazy to think Smith has been at the helm for over 1/3 of the comic's life. The fact he has and that the nerds aren't out baying for his blood and have even been talking about it being a second golden age is pretty damn impressive.
Still freaks me out he looks about 15 though. My bet is he bathes in virgin blood Countess Dracula style. Luckily running a comic book he'll meet more than his far share of disposable virgins.

No there just an picture in his attic of a grizzled veteran of 12 years of editing, all blood and pulled out hair.
Probably by one of his more mystically talented art droids.

I'm pretty sure that picture has escaped! Sure I saw it online complaining about Before Watchmen in a brummie accent

Matt also did an interview on CBR, I already posted it elsewhere on this forum, but figured I might as well post it here as well. www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=42467And I definitely agree with colinynwa, Matt very much keeps in with the 2000AD attitude, short and punchy. I have to say I really like that about him. He never waffles on, but always stays very friendly and polite. I saw this video interview with him and Keith Richardson (I think it was again on CBR), and he was exactly the same in person as well.
