Yeah, only about 6 years late on this one. Remember when it came out and the nerdy forum I was on was up in arms about it taking the piss out of them/us/whatever. At the time I avoided the show, not because I thought I'd be offended, because I didn't want an opinion either way on it. I'd got into enough bullshit arguments over Doctor Who and Russel T Davies apparent racism, weightism and homophobia.... despite him being camp as a row of tents himself. Anyway, sis-in-law had the season one boxset. Nicked it, 3/4 through and loving it. Genuinely funny and full of jokes that they give you a second to get yourself before then then explain it to non comic nerds and trekkies. Can see a lot of myself in some of the characters though it's obviously ramped right up. I probably laughed at Leonard creating a Mexican stand-off by threatening to open a rare Star Trek figure's original packaging a lot more than I should have. And you know.... this.....

Saw the first episode of this when it came out. Didn't like it at all.
Roll on four years and I caught one episode at random (the first one with Wil Wheaton) and loved it. One swift catch up later it still makes me laugh.
Also, Kaley Cuoco smuggles a few raisins on set.

Really like Big Bang Theory. Just wish Channel 4 would wait until there's enough of it before putting it on in rotation. I think its takes them approximately 4.6 days to show it all before they have to go back and start again!

Burning through these now and am half way through season 2. Last one we watched was the one with the Xmas Nimoy napkin which was just brilliant
Definitely noticing two subliminal themes to the show though...
1 - Buy more nerdy t-shirts
2 - Cleavage is good
