For my money the best thing on tv at the moment. Relentlessly funny, brutal and takes swearing to a level of sheer poetry that would make angels shit their pants in joy
Malcolm Tucker is my total role model
That said, it's been kinda cool in the latest series that they've moved away from him a little bit to give some of the other characters a chance to shine. They've always been cool but he's such a heavyweight he steamrollers over anyone else he's in a scene with. Brilliant stuff and in my opinion a worthy successor to what is still my all time fave sitcom, Yes Minister/Prime Minister

You know I have only seen the first series and In The Loop. I need to catch up.

This new series proves that the Thick of It is an unparalleled masterpiece of satire. I bloody love Armando Iannucci. It's not healthy.

I might be wrong in saying this, but isnt the new series without him? He's in the US concentrating on Veep isnt he?
Sure I saw the writers credits and it wasnt him
That said, its still his ball obviously so not taking anything away from the guy

You know, you're right! I hadn't even thought about, he'd been promoting it so doggedly on Twitter....
Veep is actually pretty good as well, no Thick of It.

Hour long special on Saturday rocked. Wasn't as laugh out loud funny as usual but was actually pretty good dramatically. The hour just flew by.
And that moment when you could see Tucker decide "Right.... thats it... I'm going to destroy you" was tv gold. That said it was cool to see him caught wrong footed for a change though I was a little unsure as to why he'd be publicly crowing about setting up the bat people photo-op.
