Posting this a full three days before the subscribers get their copies! Fuck it, nobody seeing this anyway. If anyone does somehow find this before I tell anyone... SPOILERS!!!
So prog 1804....all a bit Meh.
Cover didnt do anything for me. Dredd was pretty cool once I got where it was going but the flashback coulda been made more obvious as it confused me a bit. Nice art though
Brass Sun is moving WAAAY too slowly and feels like a large comic chopped up rather than one written for installments.
ABC Warriors was ok and it was cool seeing Quartz. Nice that they addressed the fact he has phones on his chest that have been obsolete since 1982.
Grey Area kinda just finished and Simping Detective totally left me cold.
Maybe I'm just in a shitty mood today but its the first prog in a LOOONG time that I haven't really enjoyed.

Well, look at it this way, the amount of corker-looking stories that WILL come will hopefully make you feel better; Savage, Stickleback, Aquila, there's good stuff to come mate. Have to disagree with you on Brass Sun, for me, it's the best story in the prog at the mo, quality, radiates off the page!

Dredd was good. Enjoyed the reference to Total Recall with the "We can remember it for you wholesale" poster above the bed. Always like how Dredd instinctively assesses a threat from analysing the crime scene. Did have a bit of a problem with the art in terms of understanding what was happening in the fight scene and not recognising Dredd as Dredd.
Brass Sun is beautiful to behold but is moving slowly. Time will tell with this one.
Still can't get into Grey Area.
Simping Detective looks good to me

Being a lazy twat I can't be bothered to add any original thoughts here, rather I'll copy and paste what I said over at the official forum
"Anyway to the Prog and well my main feeling towards it is surprise. See last weeks as such a fantastic comics it was hard to imagine it getting any better, yet somehow it did, and astonishingly there's the prospect of next weeks moving up a notch further. How do you do this Tharg, how?!?
The Dredd was the only downturn for me. A solid episode and no mistake and interested to see where this goes. The fact that again we're really into solidly post DoC is another bonus, after a stuttering start Tharg has got the post DoC pretty much spot on. The only real down side for me is I'm not Mark Harrison's biggest fan. As Jim said the CG has been turned down pleasantly but I still find his storytelling weak I'm afraid.
The rest of the Prog is all positives, Grey Area finishes this story solidly enough, but the set up for whats to come is the highlight. This is building, building, building. I wonder if there's a further twist to come from Bulliet? ABC Warriors carries on with fine pace and Mr Mills firing ideas at a rate that would boggle most writers. In a normal Prog the return of brilliant Simping Detective with a brilliant opening that sets the scene for newbies while setting so much for this adventure, GENIUS. Alas for Simping Detective, but horrrahhh for us readers Brass Sun is so superb and moving things in unexpected, yet enticing directions that it tops even that. We are treated well by the Green 'un.
AND, and and with Low Life returning next week in the (misused) words of a terrible song 'Things might even get better' next week. How, how HOW... wow!"

Really dont get Brass Sun. Was trying but think I've given it more than enough time to grab me.
Simping Detective is just bad IMHO. Like the artwork but the story and even the style of storytelling is pissing me off. Progs 1804-1806 all been 50/50 for me. Two strips I've really liked. One which was ok, mainly for the art (ABC) and two that I just want over and done and out.
