I've gone for the "raise the price" option. Way I see it you put an extra quid on, you get something that feels like you should put on the shelf and also something to feel more collector-y.
Still feel like floppies are disposable and have given 99% away now but still have all the prestige one shots like Mad Love and The Cult.

I'd like it cheaper without the floppy.
I'd also like more story and less articles unless the articles are interviews with 2000AD creators.
Quite why there is an article about the Teenage Ninja Mutant Toy sales in the current meg is a bit beyond me. Although I haven't read it, so maybe it's packed with 2000AD goodness.
Having said all that I'm a subscriber and intend to remain one.

I actually like the 'floppies'. It enables 2000ad to reprint it's lesser known material that would not be ever reprinted as a collection.
Agree with Eamonn. Drop the non-related 2000ad articles, like the movie reviews etc.
Maybe longer strips instead of more. 12 pages per strip. Cut the Black Museum one-offs to 5 pages.

Yeah I'd defo go with loose the floppie lower the price. I have all the material in the 'trade' in the original comics and so its of little interest. There's always stuff that interests me in the Megazine but most comes out in trade eventually so I'm happy to wait...
... mind that does mean I miss some stuff I'd love to get hold of.

I have also voted the lower price and remove floppies option.
Personally, I’d manage it thus…
Lose the floppies. I’m guessing most of the readership are hardcore fans who have exposure to these already. I sold all mine on Trade Me and made a small fortune!
Go back to the original remit of almost all Dredd-centric stories shifting Lenny Zero, Low Life, etc to the Meg. This will free up the Prog for other stories to get a better run at weekly instalments rather than a monthly slog.
Lose the articles on films, games or breakfast cereals. If I want film reviews I will read online or buy Empire. The only ones that should feature are the occasional Dredd/Rebellion adverts or reviews.
Keep the interviews with creators. These are superb insights and cheap.
Open the remaining space to small press creators to do Dreddworld or similar stuff (Dark Judgement or some of the cool Dogbreath stories). They can do this for the exposure or beer money.
Use money saved to Invent Time Machine, kill Mark Millar’s grandfather.

I voted to keep it as it is, cuz, as a relative noob, i love the floppies and haven't read most of them before. I bloody love the Interrogations - they ROCK, but I do agree that the non Toothy ones seem a bit of a stretch sometimes. Agree about the film reviews tho- that's three pages that could have another strip instead...or three pages of Johnny Alpha pin-ups....I'm ALL about keeping The Whittle happy  |

I'm happy with the floppies really, they make storing them all together a bit awkward but whaddyagonnado? They made the right choice ditching the film section (although it TOOK them long enough) - and actually, even though I did vote for "No articles" I really do like the interrogations and the related stuff (articles about Aces Weekly or British comic things are a big yes) but like, when they just interview some sod who draws like, Batman... it's a bit like - why? Also I used to skip huge chunks of it when they were doing four page interviews with directors and the like.

I would lengthen the primary Dredd strip. Include more Dredd world stories. Have at least one story each month with a female lead, for the girlies to support.
Add a decent small press section.
If you keep the floppies, then fill them with stuff hardly seen by most fans. How about the Daily Star and Metro stuff. You could include Starlord/Tornado reprints, etc...

I voted for keeping it as is, I quite like the floppies as it's an easy way to catch up on some older stuff that won't necessarily be reprinted as a trade (it's all new to me anyway). But can imagine that for long time readers it's a bit boring.
The articles are a bit hit and miss though, I love the interviews but some of the other articles do feel a bit like filler at times.
More Dredd makes sense to me as well, it is the Meg after all. I thought the rule was that all the tales in the Meg have to take place in the Dredd universe (might just be me), but that seems to get broken more and more lately.
I also love the idea that JB2theCF mentioned about possibly reprinting stuff like Daily Star and the Metro stuff as well as Starlord/Tornado reprints.

The Meg has definitely now become where creators can pitch their creator owned stuff.
Not sure how I feel about it to be honest. It does mean they possibly attract names who may not otherwise write for the Meg but the stories don't always seem to fit. The prog is by definition very diverse in content but the Meg always feels like it should be a bit more uniform. To me anyway. Also the strips so far haven't exactly floated my boat and some have felt padded out just to make a decent size story to sell on once it's done

I don't think they'll use the Meg for just any creator to pitch their ideas to and get published. I think they're using it more in the way Marvel does their Icon line, really only for their established creators to spread their creative wings a little so they don't have to leave Rebellion altogether for Image or such imprint to do their creator owned stuff.
I think it's a good idea as I'd hate to see some of their best leave just to get published in the US.
Although I do hope they don't let it get out of hand as I feel the creator owned stuff does need to fit in with the other series of the Meg.

Said before but one of the things I like about the prog is that usually if you dont enjoy something it's gone in a month or so anyway. Makes it easier to justify when you occasionally get a run that isn't your type of thing.
With the Meg tho as it's monthly if there's a creator owned that you dont like, there's the chance you'll have 6 months of it while they get to their collection page count. A guaranteed "Meh" strip for that length of time is a lot to keep enthusiastic about buying.
